High performance Class D amplifiers like the Hypex NCORE and Purifi Eigentakt offerings bring many benefits over traditional Class AB amplifiers, such as higher power efficiency (95% vs. 60% when comparing Class D to a typical Class AB amplifier), lower operating temperatures (longer operating lifespan), lighter weight (16lbs vs. 90lbs when comparing our 8ch amplifier to a typical 7/8ch Class AB amplifier), and, most importantly, measure objectively better than nearly all other amplifiers on the market with ultra low distortion and superb Signal-to-Noise ratio (SNR).

Make no mistake, these are not the Class D amplifiers of years past. The Hypex and Purifi models can match and outperform some of the “best” Class AB amplifiers on the market, whether it is for 2ch music or a full home theater build.

We believe everyone should have a chance at owning high performance amplifiers without paying an arm and a leg for “premium” brands/offerings that upcharge for features which have ZERO impact on performance. Properly designed and implemented, both our Hypex and Purifi offerings objectively measure and perform just as well as or, in some circumstances such as our Mono Purifi 1ET7040SA v2, better than our competitors.

This is a great question. The NCxxxMP series modules come in mono and stereo configurations from Hypex. In order to provide the absolute lowest pricing possible to the majority of our customers, we have chosen to only stock the stereo NCxxxMP modules so we can purchase them in larger quantity/lower pricing tiers. For instance, we can offer a 4ch NC252MP for almost the same cost as a 3ch NC250MP+NC252MP configuration.

We understand there may be hesitation by possible customers purchasing an amplifier just to have one channel left unused. But rest assured, there is zero performance issues in doing so. Our own demo setup has been using a 4ch NC502MP for LCR duty going on over two years now.

Yes! We have been shipping worldwide to customers without issue since Day 1.

Shipping to Canada and Mexico is $50.

Shipping to all other countries/continents is $100.

Yes! The Hypex NCxxxMP amps will automatically switch between 100-120v operation and 200-240v operation. The Purifi and Hypex NCx amps have an internal jumper that is removed to work with 200-240v operation.

An RCA to XLR cable is all that is needed to connect an RCA source to the XLR inputs on all of our amplifiers. Using an RCA to XLR cable will not degrade the audio signal/quality.

DO NOT use an RCA to XLR adapter. Make sure it is an “all-in-one” cable.

For XLR cables, Blue Jeans Cable is a great “custom” option. I really like their offerings as they use Neutrik connectors (same brand as my XLR inputs) which fit better and are high quality that will last for years.

For Speaker wire, anything 12-14ga will work for nearly 99% of all setups. Monoprice is a good place for standard and in-wall speaker cable. For a slightly higher quality feel, Belden 12ga speaker wire is a fantastic option with a nice, premium look. For termination, I highly recommend the locking banana plugs sold by Blue Jeans Cable.

The important thing to stress: EXPENSIVE CABLES PROVIDE NO SONIC BENEFIT! It has been shown over and over that a properly wired $10 cable will perform the same as a $100 or $1000 cable.
