We are excited to finally add the Hypex NC2k to our lineup! Based on the original tried and true NCORE technology, the NC2k offers staggering amounts of power at very low distortion and noise floor. With up to 2500w of total power and 48A of output current, the NC2k can drive ANY speaker a customer wants to pair with it.

With its completely flat frequency response and ultra high-power output, a pair of our mono Hypex NC2k's are a top tier choice for those with critical 2ch listening setups that utilize even the most difficult to drive speakers, allowing for users to hear the source material as it should be without any added distortion or "coloring" of the sound.

You have a choice of two different gain stages during checkout (both are the same price and both sound identical):

• Hypex gain stage, which renders our Low/Med/High toggle switch inactive (gain cannot be changed). This configuration utilizes the onboard NC2k buffers and will have the lowest distortion/noise floor but requires a source capable of delivery high preout voltages (up to 10v)
• Buckeye gain stage, allowing for Low/Med/High gain settings via toggle switch on the rear. This configuration is best for nearly all customers, especially those pairing with AVR's or low preout voltage sources.

The gain stage can be switched via internal jumpers by the customer if future setups dictate the need to change.

Gain settings when using our Buckeye gain stage:

• 4 ohm - 31dB/2.8Vrms (High), 26dB/5.0Vrms (Medium), 21dB/8.8Vrms (Low)
• 8 ohm - 31dB/3.1Vrms (High), 26dB/5.6Vrms (Medium), 21dB/10.0Vrms (Low)

Gain setting when using the Hypex gain stage:

• 4 ohm - 20dB/9.5Vrms
• 8 ohm - 20dB/10.7Vrms

The Hypex gain stage matches up with the input gain of the Hypex NCxxxMP and Purifi amplifiers, perfect for those wanting to mix Hypex and Purifi amplifiers (such as for a home theater setup).

RCA vs. XLR
While our amplifiers use XLR inputs, it is perfectly fine (and fully supported by Hypex) for customers to use RCA to XLR cables to connect the amplifier to a source that only has RCA outputs.

Our cases may not be much to look at, but unlike our competitors who use overseas manufacturing, we have all of our cases manufactured in Nova Scotia, Canada (Protocase, Inc). This is part of our commitment to keep as much of our amplifiers as "home grown" as possible. It also ensures the highest possible quality aluminum and extremely precise CNC manufacturing.
